Amazon Will Invest $50 Billion To Expand Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure

U.S. e-commerce company Amazon has announced plans to invest up to $50 billion to expand artificial intelligence and supercomputing infrastructure for U.S. government agencies.

The company said in a statement that Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform will for the first time create artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure for the U.S. government.

The new investment, slated to begin next year, will provide about 1.3 gigawatts of additional computing power through the construction of data centers with advanced processing and networking technologies.
