After 2020, the number of military Russia in Armenia was increased at the request of Yerevan, said the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin in an interview with the Armenian media.
The diplomat noted that the Russian military base, border guards located in the area of the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, play an important role in maintaining stability in the region.
Kopyrkin added that the Russian presence should be in demand by Armenia itself, and expressed the hope that it is.
