Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan: “More than 8 thousand Ukrainian children are deported to Russia”

“When Russia attacked my country on February 24, few expected Ukraine. Nevertheless, the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian army and our people turned fatalism into hope of defeating Russia. This hope has turned into a new reality that Ukraine can win In this war, ”said Vladislav Kanevsky Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Azerbaijan in Azerbaijan. It is reported by haqqin.az.

According to the diplomat, in just the last few weeks, due to the high motivation and combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian army and with the military support of our loyal friends, we freed more than 8 thousand square kilometers of our land and took control of dozens of cities and villages.

“Ukrainian defenders debunked the myth and narratives about the invincibility of the Russian army,” the ambassador said. And he is convinced that the civilized world finally realized that the only language that Russia understands is power.

The Ambassador of Ukraine expressed great appreciation to the government of Azerbaijan: “In these difficult times, we are highly appreciated by the assistance. In particular, we are grateful to the Azerbaijan Republic, which regularly sends humanitarian goods from the first days of the war. Thousands of tons have already been delivered from Azerbaijan to Ukraine food, medicines, medical equipment “.

Vladislav Kanevsky called for an even greater support to Ukraine: “Military assistance from our partners should be even more strengthened, and sanctions against Russia are toughened.”

According to the ambassador, as of mid -September, 393 Ukrainian children were killed as a result of the shelling of Russia and more than 800 children were seriously injured. And about 8,000 Ukrainian children are deported to Russia. Only from the occupied region of Mariupol did Russia forcibly relocated more than 1000 Ukrainian children, with their subsequent adoption to Russian families. As a result of hostilities, almost two of the three Ukrainian children were moved – 3 million within Ukraine and more than 2.2 million to the countries taking refugees, especially to Poland. A significant part of Ukrainian children suffers from military aggression of Russia. According to Kanevsky, these children, like Azerbaijani, look equally at the war. Because the vices of war are always the same.

Note that today on September 19, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, an exhibition of children’s drawings – “Mom, I do not want war!”.

The exhibition has a long history, starting in 1945, when, on the initiative of the Poland, after the victory over Nazism in Europe, he called for children to capture in drawings memories of the war.

This time, in their drawings, Ukrainian children, as once Polish, depicted tanks, falling bombs, fires and explosions instead of peaceful life.

The Ukrainian ambassador graduated from the words of the girl Polina from Vorzel (Kyiv region): “Our life will never be the same as before, and it is terrible, because war is not the norm and you can’t get used to it, but we believe In the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to the world in Ukraine! “
