American experts: Russians control about 70% of Severodonetsk, Ukrainians retreat

Russian forces, including Chechen divisions, control up to 70% of Severodonetsk, the Ukrainian army is gradually departing from the city, the Washington Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports in its daily analysis of the conflict.

ISW experts believe that, having abandoned all their strength to Severodonetsk, Russia exposed other sections of the front and, in particular, created the conditions for a limited Ukrainian offensive in the Kherson region. There, Ukrainians crowd Russian troops east of the Ingulent River and occupied the settlement of David Brod.

BBC notes that the Ukrainian General Staff did not report the liberation of this settlement, but reported on the Russian airstrike on it that he was saying that the Russian troops had left there.
