American television company deleted a scandalous film about war in Ukraine

The American television company CBS deleted its documentary “Armed Ukraine” on the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine. The page where it was published is now inaccessible, Medusa reports.

The film was released on August 4. It gave the words of Jonas Oman – the head of the Lithuanian organization Blue Yellow, which has been helping the Ukrainian army since 2014. According to Oman, according to his estimates, only 30-40% of military assistance to Ukraine reaches the front.

Also among the speakers of the film was an employee of Amnesty International Donatella Rover, who became the author of the recent report that the Armed Forces of Ukraine use civil objects for hostilities.

CBS film was criticized by some journalists. Blue Yellow said that shots with Jonas Oman were shot in the eighth week of the war and that the situation has changed since then. CBS deleted a film and tweet published for its promotion. The television company said she would update the information presented in the film and show it later.

At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleb said that the film is not enough and that CBS should conduct an internal investigation. “You misled a huge audience, sharing unreasonable statements and undermining the trust in the supply of the vital military assistance of the nation, which resists aggression and genocide,” Kuleba said.
