An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 occurred in the province of Kutahya in western Turkey.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Simav region. The source was located at a depth of 12.1 kilometers.

Kutahya Governor Musa Ishin reported on his page on the social network of the American company X that the earthquake occurred in the area of ​​​​the village of Maden.

“According to the results of an on-site inspection, no negative consequences have been recorded at the moment. I hope this will not happen again. May the Almighty protect our country,” noted the head of the region.
