An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred in Peru

In Peru, an earthquake of magnitude 5.4.

According to the Institute of Geophysics Peru (PGI), the epicenter of the earthquake was in the city of Waral in the north of the South American country.

The shocks are recorded at a depth of 57 kilometers. There are no victims and destruction as a result of the earthquake, the authorities of Peru told.

The territory of Peru almost completely covers the fire ring along the perimeter of the Pacific Ocean, in which the majority of existing volcanoes are located and there are many earthquakes.

As a result of earthquakes, magnitude 7.9 in Peru on August 15, 2007, 595 people died.
