A earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred in the southeast of the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Pacific Ocean.

About this on Monday, March 25 was reported on the website of the Kamchatka branch of the FIC “Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences”.

The distance from the epicenter to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was 330 km. The focus of shocks lay at a depth of 68 km at the bottom of the ocean.

According to local media, some residents of the peninsula felt an earthquake, in particular, underground shocks of 1-2 points were felt in the regional center.
