A magnitude 5.6 earthquake occurred off the coast of the Mexican state of Baja California.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was 75 kilometers northeast of the city of Santa Rosalia.
The source of the tremors lay at a depth of about 10 kilometers.
There was no tsunami warning after the earthquake announced.
