AFAD also noted that tremors were felt in cities such as Mugla, Aydin, Denizley, Manisa and Izmir, damage is carried out.
The Governor of the Province of Mugla Idris Akbyk said that 69 people were injured as a result of the earthquake, a 14-year-old teenager died due to a panic attack.
According to him, in Marmaris Magnituda, the earthquake was 5.8. “According to the latest data, 69 citizens were injured from the earthquake. 55 people contacted medical institutions: 10 were delivered by ambulances, 45 more turned on their own. 14 people refused hospitalization and received assistance on the spot. One patient was hospitalized. Currently, diagnostic and medical measures for 46 victims are continuing. Eight people have already been discharged. Unfortunately, in the area of Fethiye 14-year-old child, taken to the hospital after a panic attack caused by an earthquake, despite all the efforts of the doctors, died, ”he told Anadola.
Akbyk said that after an earthquake in the city, serious failures were recorded in power supply, infrastructure, natural gas supply, as well as in water supply and sewage systems that could affect everyday life. He also emphasized that the destruction in residential buildings in the city was not noted.
The governor added that field work in the region continues.
