An earthquake of magnitude 6.7 occurred near the city of Santiago, Isabela province in the Philippines.
As reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the tremors was located 23 km east of the city of Santiago. The outbreak lay at a depth of about 61.2 km.
There were no reports of casualties or damage. There was also no tsunami warning.
Earlier in the morning, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck off the coast of the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines.
