An explosion occurred at largest Russian gas pipeline: three died

In Chuvashia, an explosion occurred on the section of the Urengoy -Mara – Uzhgorod gas pipeline, Russian media reported with reference to the press service of the head of the region.

Terelny burning arose at the site of the fire, the State Committee for Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Republic said. It is reported that as a result of the incident, three people were killed, one was injured. The preliminary cause of the explosion is called the gas leak.

Urengoy – Landmark – Uzhgorod – an export main gas pipeline built by the USSR in 1983 for the supply of natural gas from the deposits of Western Siberia to consumers to the countries of Central and Western Europe. Urengoy oil and gas condensate field is one of the largest in the world.
