An oil field has been discovered in the Ghadamis oil basin in western Libya with daily production of more than 4,675 barrels.

Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced in a statement the new discovery of an AGOCO subsidiary in the Ghadamis region.

According to this information, the new field is expected to produce 4,675 barrels of crude oil and 2 million cubic feet of gas in day.

The project is fully owned by NOC.

According to OPEC, Libya is the country with the largest oil reserves in Africa – 50 billion barrels, however, due to division and political instability at different periods, oil fields are closed and oil production is interrupted.
