Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with the chairman of the Bar Association Anar Bagirov.
According to the collegium, Kamran Aliyev informed Anara Bagirov about the measures taken to improve the activities of the prosecution authorities, judicial and legal reforms.
Kamran Aliyev emphasized that through legislative and institutional reforms, effective protection mechanisms in the field of providing civil and personal rights and freedoms in Azerbaijan are formed. The Prosecutor General noted the importance of improving the activities of state bodies in terms of ensuring human rights.
Anar Bagirov, in turn, indicated the importance of effective relations with the prosecutor’s office in the direction of objectivity, impartiality and justice of criminal proceedings, as well as to ensure the right to legal assistance and protection.
During the meeting, the Prosecutor General and the chairman of the Bar Association took exchanged views on topical issues arising during the criminal process.
