No country of the European Union agreed to take refugees from Afghanistan in mass order, said David Sassoli, Chairman of the European Parliament.
“I am deeply disappointed yesterday’s decision of the EU Council on Internal Affairs. We saw many countries outside the European Union, who went to meet Afghan asylum seekers and welcomed them, but we do not see any EU countries that would have done the same” – Quotes Tass Sassoli.
In his opinion, everyone thinks only about those Afghans who worked with the European Parliament, but no one has enough courage to offer asylum all those whose life is still in danger.
