According to him, in society and the media, the last two months there are rumors that Armenia intends to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, involving the recognition of borders and the solution of other sensitive issues.
Hakobyan reminded that the head of the commission on defense and security in the Parliament of the past convocation (now the deputy) Andranik Kocharyan declared the intention to start negotiations on the peace treaty. Such leaks were from the side of various officials.
Now, in his opinion, we are talking about some preliminary agreements, which were discussed during previous negotiations in oral format and whose crown will be a peace treaty.
At the same time, according to the political technologist, the Armenian society learns about the agreement not only from Azerbaijani or sources from third countries, but also opposition circles. For example, a draft agreement on demarcation and delimitation also brought the Armenian opposition, after which Pashinyan had forced to admit that there is a similar document. And even stated that this is a pro-Armic document, and he is ready to sign it.
According to Akopian, the Armenian side is guided by the tacty of the holding of information in secret, but always gets up before the fact.
