Ankara: a joint project of Turkey and Azerbaijan – an alternative to Russian gas for Europe

The official representative of Turkish President Ibrahim Kalyn said that the Tanap transanatoly gas pipeline could become an alternative to Russian gas for Europe. He reported this to the A Haber TV channel.

“one of the two main alternatives is Tanap, a joint project of Turkey and Azerbaijan,” he said.

Earlier, the chairman of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Layen said that Russia partially reduced or completely stopped supplying gas to 12 states – members of the European Union. According to her, the EU receives record volumes of supplies from the USA, Norway, the states of the Persian Gulf, Algeria and the Caspian Sea region.
