Ankara and Beijing discussed bilateral relations

The Foreign Minister of Turkey Hakan Fidan held negotiations with the Chinese colleague Van and in Ankara. This is reported by the dipstyers in the Turkish foreign policy.

The parties discussed various aspects of bilateral relations.

At first, the ministers held a meeting in one on one format, then negotiations continued in an expanded composition.

During the negotiations, opinions were held regarding the effective use of dialogue mechanisms and consultations between the two countries, including the Inter -government Committee on Cooperation, the Mechanism of Consultations of Foreign Ministers, Consular Consultations and the Joint Economic Commission.

The Foreign Minister of Turkey and the PRC discussed ways to expand trade and economic ties, the “One Belt, One Way” and “Middle Corridor” initiative, as well as issues regarding interaction in the field of nuclear energy, agriculture, civil aviation, culture and tourism .

The ways to achieve a more balanced and sustainable structure of bilateral trade and increase the volume of mutual investments are also considered.

The situation of ethnic Uyghurs in the PRC is also affected by the meeting.

The parties exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda, events in the Middle East, the situation in Ukraine and the state of the world financial system
