Ankara did not agree with proposal of Moscow

Russia proposed a date for meeting foreign ministers of Turkey and Syria, but this date did not fit Ankara, said the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavushoglu.

“Russia has made an offer, but this date is not suitable for us. Now we are engaged in the development of a new date. We must still conduct preparations before the meeting of ministers,” the Habertürk television channel quoted Cup.

The Turkish minister indicated that the preparation includes consultations through the Ministry of Defense, intelligence, and other structures. “Work is underway to achieve specific results. So these are not one -time meetings. And from tripartite meetings you do not need to wait for all decisions. These are all steps in the direction of specifying our cooperation on sensitive topics,” said Chavushol.

As for the prospects for negotiations of the presidents of Turkey and Syria, Cavusoglu said that “such a decision has not yet been made,” recalling that the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan is configured to conduct a gradual dialogue on the Syrian problem.
