Ankara discussed prospects for cooperation of Azerbaijan and Turkey in field of mineral development

In Ankar, a meeting of delegations was held under the chairmanship of the head of the state of state union for the use of mineral reserves under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Samira Gurbanov and the chairman of the board of Azergold ZAO Zakira Ibrahimov with representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey. During the meeting, the parties exchanged opinions about cooperation in all areas of geology, exploration, evaluating and developing minerals and geophysical mapping.

On the first day of the delegation, they visited the monument to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Ankara and laid flowers.

A visit to Ankaru took place as part of a four -sided memorandum signed during the energy forum in 2021 about mutual understanding of cooperation in the field of mining between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

On the first day of the visit, May 10, the parties discussed the creation of a single center of geological databases, preparation of a digital map of geophysical anomalies and mineral deposits, including in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the organization of joint measures to study reserves, the use of multi-and-and Hyprastral platforms, non -invasive technologies, as well as a number of other technical issues. Also, the steps that must be taken at the next stages are discussed.

On Wednesday, May 11, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the testing laboratory of analytical chemistry and metallurgy of the Department of Analysis and Mineral Raw Material Technology, as well as a laboratory where the branches of metallurgy, minerals, non -metallic and building materials are studied, and also familiarized themselves with the work of this laboratory.

following the results of the meeting, a wide exchange of views on the creation of a similar laboratory center in one of the regions of Azerbaijan, its format and technological capabilities was also held.
