Ankara Seeks To Expand Strategic Partnership With Singapore

Turkey seeks to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership with Singapore.

This is stated in a statement by the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration, published following a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. The negotiations took place on the sidelines of the G20 summit in South Africa.

It is noted that Ankara intends to intensify steps taken in this direction.

During the meeting, issues of mutual investment, trade relations between the two countries, as well as processes within the framework of the ASEAN dialogue partnership and the New Asia initiative were discussed.

The head of the Turkish state emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to exclave The Turkish leader emphasized that the formula for lasting peace lies in a settlement based on a two-state solution. President Erdogan assured that Türkiye is making all necessary efforts to achieve this goal.
