Chile’s Ministry of Health announced the first case of infection with the new strain of Coronavirus – “Oomikron” – in a person who arrived from Ghana, reports Reuters.
Foreign citizen living in Chile arrived in the country on November 25 from Ghana, but his PCR test showed a negative result, but the subsequent test was positive.
“The patient with two doses of the vaccine is currently healthy and is in isolation,” said the Minister of Health of the Chilean Region Valparaiso.
