Arif Alvi: Relations of Pakistan and China are based on mutual trust and understanding

President of Pakistan Arif Alvi said that the relations of Pakistan and China are based on mutual trust and understanding.

President Alvi accepted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Qing Gan, who arrived in Islamabad to participate in the dialogue of foreign ministers of China, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to the statement, the President of Pakistan during the meeting touched on the topic of detention in April for “insulting religious values” of a Chinese citizen who worked on a hydroelectric power station in the Pakistani region of Kochistan.

Commenting on the concern of the Beijing administration regarding the security of the Chinese working and living in Pakistan, President Alvi emphasized that the security of Chinese citizens in the country will be increased.

President Alvi said that the power of attorney of relations between Pakistan and China is based on mutual respect and understanding.

Minister Qin, for his part, noted that Pakistan and China are friends in good and bad times, and this friendship is very strong.
