Armenia: arrested commander who was planning murder of Pashinian

In Yerevan, the commander of the volunteer detachment “Sisakan” was arrested, the participant of the two Karabakh wars Ashot Minasyan. Armenian media written about it.

It is reported that the appellate criminal court satisfied the petition of the prosecutor’s office of November 15 2020 on the arrest of the detachment commander.

Note that for the first time Minasyan was detained in the criminal case initiated in November 2020 on the fact of planning an attempt at the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikola Pashinyan. In law enforcement, then stated that the commander had a large number of weapons and ammunition. With it, a year ago, an ex-director of the SNB Arthur Vanetsan, a former deputy Vagram Baghdasaryan and a member of the Dashnaktsutun party Ashot Avakian, but they were all issued to freedom after a short time.

Recently, the court of first instance of Armenia reviewed the petition for the deprivation of Minasyan Freedom, filed by the prosecutor’s office, but did not accept it. Today, the appeal claim with the abolition of the decision of the court of first instance was satisfied.
