Armenia: journalist Nairi Ohikana is pursued due to truth about second Karabakh war

In Armenia, a member of the Union of Journalists, the famous telecommunicator Nairi Okikyan, is being prosecuted.

According to news.am, with reference to the Union of Journalists of Armenia, July 29, 2021, the journalist was delivered to interrogate the National Security Service. During the interrogation, the investigators confiscated a journalist smartphone.

Nairi Okikyan has been persecuted after removing a documentary about the second Karabakh war. In his film, the journalist criticized the Armenian authorities.

As follows from the statement of the Union of Journalists of Armenia, N. Spikyan was not informed about the materials of the initiated criminal case and left the building of the SNB in ​​the status of the Suspected Face.

The journalist smartphone contained numerous personal and professional information.

Paradoxically, but the persecution of the Armenian television journalist due to professional activity remained out of sight of international organizations, in particular the situation with its freedom of freedom in Azerbaijan of the French organization “Reporters Without Borders”.

The Union of Journalists of Armenia, condemning the illegal actions of the Special Services of Armenia, called on the office of the Ombudsman of Armenia, as well as international organizations to evaluate the illegal action of the authorities.
