Eighty children were hospitalized in Armenia as of Friday. About this in a conversation with Sputnik Armenia, the adviser to the Ministry of Health of Armenia on Pediatrics Sergey Sargsyan.
“Last week, children were more than 70, now there are already 80. There is a trend of the growth of this indicator. By the way, at the moment there are 2-3 children in serious therapy,” the specialist said.
According to him, it is already a lack of baby beds in hospitals, since cases of infection every day more and, accordingly, difficulties arise.
Sargsyan notes that at the moment, as a result of Coronavirus, two children developed Kawasaki syndrome. In addition, there were children who, Kovid, were accompanied by various respiratory, intestinal infections. On the other hand, an intestinal infection, he said, has become in children a manifestation of coronavirus.
