Armenia offered to disconnect Internet during martial law

In Armenia, they proposed limiting access to the Internet and turning off social networks during martial law, follows from the project of the country’s Ministry of Justice published on the website of the department.

According to the project, if martial law is announced in Armenia, it is proposed to temporarily suspend (block) the actions of Internet sites, social networks, Internet applications in the country, as well as partially or completely limit access to the Internet.

It is also supposed to limit the content translated on television and distributed through the Internet exclusively by the Military-patriotic film and programs, as well as relevant information.

According to the project, the powers for the implementation and application of restrictions in the conditions of martial law will be granted to the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia.
