The head of the Shirak diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Michael Ajapakhyan, was arrested for two months. This was announced by his lawyer Ara Zogrebyan.
“The court granted the application of the investigation and arrested Michael Ajapahyan for two months. The decision is illegal and unreasonable. The defense intends to appeal the decision,” said the lawyer whose words are cited by the Armenian media.

The archbishop did not recognize the charges against him.
