Armenian Ambassador in Israel was charged

Ambassador of Armenia in Israel Armen Kombatanu was charged, reports Sputnik Armenia with reference to the press service of the investigative committee of the republic.

According to the report, the Smambanyan is accused of promoting abuses by the former Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs, as well as in money laundering.

According to the investigation, the ambassador to Israel and at the same time the head of the AOCC public organization (“Armenian Society of Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries”) helped the former Minister and Deputy AOCS Asmik Poghosyan in illegal design of the land plot in Yerevan (there is a building representing historical Cultural value) to the property of a public organization.

After that, the building and a plot as a result of a formal deal of 550 thousand dollars were sold offshore company (registered on the British Virginian Islands), owned by the daughter-in-law of the Minister.

Based on the evidence of the evidence, the Customane was charged with abuse of official authority and money laundering. As a measure of the preventive, a deposit of 20 million drams was elected (about 40 thousand dollars).
