Armenian parliament could not elect president

Armenian parliament at the meeting was unable to elect a new president of the republic, the ruling faction “Civil Agreement” did not have enough votes, reports TASS.

According to information, from parliament, the only candidate for the head of the state, the Minister of High-tech Industry Vaagn Khachaturian received only 69 deputies.

“69 deputies were voted for the election of Waagna Khachaturian, the elections did not take place, today the second round was appointed,” the head of the Accounts Commission said Narek Babayan.
