AS Group Investment LLC presented a three-room apartment with an area of 96 square meters in the Park Residence to the family of the martyr sergeant Niyazi Iskenderov.
The press service of the company haqqın.az reported that the day before, representatives of the company and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population met with the martyr’s family living in a hostel in Mingachevir and handed them documents for the apartment. AS Group Investment also pledged to completely renovate and furnish the apartment provided to the martyr’s family.
Martyr Sergeant Niyazi Iskenderov distinguished himself in hostilities in April 2016. In fierce battles in the direction of the Talish village, he helped to carry eight wounded soldiers from the battlefield. He himself received several wounds from a sniper bullet. When the Second Karabakh War began, Niyazi again defended the Motherland, took part in hostilities. In the battles in the Sugovushan direction, he helped his wounded comrades in arms. In one of the battles he was seriously wounded and sent to a military hospital in Shamkir, and from there to the Mingachevir hospital. However, on the same night he escaped from the hospital and returned to the battlefield. Iskenderov continued to fight in the direction of Sugovushan. He became a martyr on October 5th.
Back in 2004, Niyazi married Kyonul, who grew up in an orphanage. The young family settled in a one-room (12 square meters) apartment in one of the hostels in Mingachevir. For a girl who was deprived of parental love and care, Niyazi became the closest person. Kyonul has lost not just her husband, but her friend, support in life.
Despite life with difficulties, patriotism and a sense of loyalty to the Motherland, Niyazi always put in the first place, he was ready to go to fight for the liberation of the occupied lands. His wife says that Niyazi’s biggest dream was to become a martyr for his homeland.
AS Group Investment, in order to reduce the pain, suffering and difficulties of the martyr’s family, decided to donate an apartment to the family of Niyazi Iskenderov.
It should be noted that since September 27, the day when the most glorious history of Azerbaijan began to be written, AS Group Investment strives to support the Azerbaijani army, citizens and the state. The company supports our soldiers who fought on the front lines and citizens whose homes were destroyed as a result of enemy strikes during the war, and who were relocated to other villages and towns, helping them with food and equipment. In addition, AS Group Investment allocated 150 thousand manats to the YAŞAT Foundation, created to support the families of martyrs and wounded in the Patriotic War. Also, 300,000 manats were transferred to the Karabakh Revival Fund for restoration work in the liberated territories.
