As a result of an armed attack on the position of Niger security forces near the border with Mali, 34 troops were killed, another 14 were injured.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Niger, the attack occurred in the Banibang region, located in the province of Tillabury. According to the agency, terrorists, whose personality has not yet been established, attacked the military base.
During the tied battle between the military and attackers, 34 soldiers died, another 14 were injured. The statement also emphasizes that many of the attackers were liquidated, but not a single group took responsibility for the attack.
Banibang, located near the border with Mali, is considered one of the most important military facilities in the country. On April 25 this year, an attack was already being taken – then 12 military were killed.
