Tunisian citizen was killed, and a Turkish citizen was wounded as a result of a racist attack in the Var province in France.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of France Bruno Retallo informed the social network X that on May 31 in the province of Var, an unknown person killed his Tunisian neighbor and wounded a Turkish citizen.

Retallo said that the investigation of whether there was an attack by “racist” or not. Video posted by the criminal on social networks before and after the attack, “at the moment there are no room for doubt.”

The minister noted that after the attack, he met with the ambassador of Tunisia to Paris and expressed his condolences to the relatives of the deceased. According to him, during the day he will meet with his Tunisian colleague.

“Racism must be severely punished,” Bruno Retallo emphasized.

According to local media reports, as a result of the incident that occurred on May 31 in the Province of Var, the 53-year-old Frenchman shot his 35-year-old Tunisian and wounded a 25-year-old young man from Turkey.

Security Service, who took measures to report a woman who, approved, was the attacker’s mistress, caught a suspect who, after a short chase, disappeared from the crime scene in his car.

A large number of firearms were removed from the suspect’s car.

Dragignan prosecutor’s office began the investigation of this incident as a racial murder.
