Chairman of the Hulk Maslahata Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Iran Ebrahim Rasisi discussed key issues of the development of trade, economic and energy partnerships, the Turkmenistan Farmenostan Today.
, in the framework of the exchange of views on bilateral trade and economic partnership, the parties noted an increase in the volume of trade. At the same time, it was said about the need to fully use the existing potential and opportunities for building cooperation in this direction.
In this context, a proposal was expressed to activate the solutions to issues related to the supply and transit of gas, increase export and imports, increase interaction in the transport sector and in the field of electric power.
A special emphasis was on the value of the gas exchange agreements reached between the two countries.
The parties spoke out for the need to continue joint actions in this direction.
Among the promising vectors of partnership, an electric power was called. This aspect stated the importance of accelerating work on laying the power line of Mary-Meshed, which will connect the two countries.
It was also noted that geopolitical processes in the region require the intensification of joint efforts to strengthen joint regional security.
The parties stated that an important place in the relationship between Turkmenistan and Iran is given out issues related to the Caspian Sea.
The importance of the implementation of the agreements was noted based on the results of the VI of the Caspian summit of the heads of the region of the region on June 29, 2022.
Along with this, the significance of the Caspian basin was emphasized not only in the political aspect, but also from an economic point of view, and the presence of strategic opportunities for building cooperation in this area was noted.
