On January 11, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan by Jayhun Bayramov and Assistant US Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Karen Donfrid, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reports.
According to the report, the parties exchanged views on the situation with regional security. Jeyhun Bayramov told about the last situation in the region, including the steps taken by Azerbaijan to implement tripartite applications for Karabakh.
The Minister informed Assistant US Secretary of State about provocation performed by Armenia towards the Kelbajar district of Azerbaijan, as a result of which Azerbaijani soldier died. Bayramov stressed that liability for this provocation lies directly at the military-political leadership of Armenia.
Parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
