Association Of Spouse Of Ambassadors And Heads Of Missions Of African Countries Celebrated Her 10th Anniversary In

In the Turkish capital, an exhibition and show of mods on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Association is the spouse of ambassadors and the heads of the missions of African countries (Ashom).

The event was held in the conference hall of the National Library, located on the territory of the presidential complex in Ankara. It was attended by the head of Ashom and the wife of the Morocco Ambassador to Ankara Naval Buchkikhf Lazrek, as well as the ambassador of South Sudan to Ankara and the head of the African diplomatic corps, Majok Guandong Tkhiyp.

LAZRECED expressed gratitude to the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his efforts to strengthen cooperation with African countries based on a multidimensional partnership. She also thanked the first lady of Turkey Emine Erdogan for her contribution to expanding the rights and capabilities of women and children in Africa.

“Emine Erdogan made a culture with an instrument that brings Africa and Turkey closer,” she stressed.

According to the head of Ashom, the first lady of Turkey gave the hope to thousands of African women and young people through various programs for supporting education, healthcare and women’s entrepreneurship. “She offered them real opportunities for building a better future,” said Lazrek.

She added that Emine Erdogan was the initiator of many significant projects reflecting the cultural wealth of the African continent. In particular, she mentioned a collection of African proverbs, compiled by the wife of the Turkish leader, two books about Africa’s cooking, as well as her efforts to popularize the African culinary heritage.

The Ambassador of South Sudan, in turn, thanked the Turkish government for the possibility of an event in the presidential national library, and also expressed gratitude to Emine Erdogan for its desire to strengthen relations between Africa and Turkey.

Tkhiyp called the relationship between Turkey and the African continent “perfect”.

After the official part, a colorful show of mod took place, within the framework of which traditional costumes from 11 countries were presented, and dance performances took place.
