Astana and Bishkek discussed prospects for further strengthening cooperation

Kazakh President Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev discussed with Kyrgyz colleague Sadir Zhaparov prospects for further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

According to Akorda, during a telephone conversation on Saturday, on April 6, the heads of state with satisfaction noted the dynamic development of Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations in all directions.

In particular, the prospects of further strengthening cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed, follows from the message.

There was also an exchange of views on the current topics of the regional and international agenda.

Tokaev noted that the support provided by Kyrgyzstan in connection with floods in Kazakhstan is another evidence of true friendship, solidarity and close allied relations of the two states.

In turn, the President of Kyrgyzstan confirmed that in the near future, at the invitation of Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan will visit Kazakhstan on an official visit.

According to Kabar, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the Kyrgyz people are alarmed by messages about large -scale floods in Kazakhstan.

The President expressed confidence that the Government of Kazakhstan would take all the necessary measures to localize natural disasters and mitigate the consequences of floods.

During the conversation, the parties also discussed upcoming events at the highest and high levels.
