Astana announced negative impact of anti -Russian sanctions on Kazakhstan

Sanctions against Russia have a negative impact on Kazakhstan, since both countries connect close economic relations. This was in an interview with the Japanese television channel NHK said the country’s foreign minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi.

“We do not join the sanctions against Russia, but at the same time we adhere to the principle according to which (the economy of the republic) will not be used by various enterprises to circumvent restrictive measures,” Tleuberdi quoted the Russian media.

Tleuberdi also called on Russia and Ukraine to find a diplomatic decision of the current military conflict.

“Russia and Ukraine are the state historically friendly for Kazakhstan. The President of the Republic of Kasym -Zhomart Tokaev regularly contacts the leaders of both countries, urging them to sit down at the negotiating table in order to find a peaceful and diplomatic solution to the current conflict,” said the Foreign Minister.

According to him, the Kazakh authorities also propose to transfer their business to foreign companies that were forced to close representative offices in the Russian Federation under the influence of sanctions.
