Astana discussed cooperation in framework of CST

In Astana, a meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu with the General Secretary of the Organization of Collective Security Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov, the press service of the Kazakhstani Foreign Department.

The parties exchanged views on the upcoming events in Kazakhstan planned as part of the Chairmanship of the Republic in the CSTO in 2024.

Particular attention was paid to the consideration of a number of organizational issues of the upcoming meeting of the CSTO Foreign Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, planned in June 2024.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues on key areas of cooperation was discussed in the framework of the organization, including the development of political interaction, counteraction to challenges and threats.

The Chairmen in the CSTO passed to the Republic of Kazakhstan from January 1, 2024.

CSTO was created in 2002 and is an international regional organization, which, along with Kazakhstan, includes Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
