At 7th Festival Of Ethno-sports Culture, Teams Of Georgian Horse Game “Tskhenburti” Performed

The Georgian Horse Game “Tskhenburti” added colors to the 7th festival of ethno-sports culture.

The festival organized by the World Ethnosport Association, the global communication partner of which is the Anadolu agency, continues at Ataturk Airport.

Ethnosport festival includes events of various topics: traditional sports and games, traditional art, gastronomy, stage art and others.

Representatives of about 35 countries take part in the festival.

Visitors to the festival showed great interest in “Tshenburti”, an old Georgian riding game.

Especially children with excitement followed the competitions held in the horse arena.

About the game “Tskhenburti”

Game of “Tskhenburti” comes from Georgia, in it riders demonstrate their riding skills and rackets.

Two teams of 6 players dressed in traditional Akhalukh clothes play it.

During the competition, wooden rackets and a rubber ball are used, which passes in two half for 10-15 minutes each. The goal is to throw the ball into the opponent’s goal, which are called “poppy”. Players can move freely and use their rackets for shock, control and transfer of the ball.
