At Embassy of Russian Federation in Ankara, Immortal Regiment was held in Ankara

On the territory of the Russian Embassy in Ankara, on the eve of Victory Day, the Immortal Regiment action was held.

The event organized by the Turkish Association of Rusa and Translator Teachers, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Ankara Alexei Yerkhov and numerous guests took part.

Participants in the event with St. George ribbons on collars and balls in their hands arranged a procession in the territory of the diplomatic department.

“Today we probably have not passed a very large distance. Probably, even a symbolic one even, but the significance of the action is huge. Because today we are engaged in ensuring the connection of generations, the connection of those who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, those who forged victory in the rear, and those who live now. And we need to remember and know about this feat, because we, like our parents, live in a very difficult time, and we again need victory, big, big, And one for all, ”said the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexei Yerkhov.

The diplomat noted that Russians are still experiencing difficult times and drew attention to sanctions against Russia.

The ambassador noted that the Immortal Regiment shares for security reasons had to be canceled in many cities of Russia. “I am convinced that we have passed it for them today, for those who wanted to go, but have not yet been able to break us. No one will be able to break us. We will be faithful to our homeland and its glorious traditions. Our weapons are our memory, culture, history and unity If we are one, as one in the ranks of the “Immortal Regiment, then we will be invincible,” Yerkhov emphasized.

The Immortal Regiment processions have been held since 2012 in memory of the participants in the Second World War.
