At the Summer Kitchen festival in the city of Kirkuk in Iraq, they presented the best tastes of Turkish cuisine.
The event that will last until the end of August, gathered leading chefs from different cities of Iraq, uniting them with gourmets who want to try the best dishes and drinks of the country. and exquisite dishes, prepared specifically for the guests of the festival.
Particular interest in the participants caused dishes of Turkish cuisine – Shish -Sashlyk, raw cutlets (Chig Köft) and Lahmadzhun.
chef From Kirkuk, Ahmed Abdulmadzhid, who introduced his own stand at the festival, told Anadola that on the main stage, where the kitchens of various Iraq regions were demonstrated, he prepared Chig Köft and Mussels.
Abdulmadzhid noted that interest in Turkish cuisine has increased noticeably in recent years. According to him, this is due to the fact that many Iraqi during frequent trips to Turkey get acquainted with its gastronomic traditions.
The cook emphasized that the growing interest in Turkish cuisine pleases him and inspires new culinary experiments.
resident Kirkuka Khusam Javad expressed joy about holding such festivals in his city. He noted that he was able to get acquainted with the dishes of various regions of Iraq, and Turkish cuisine made a special impression on him.
The organizer of the festival Abdullah Muzhyr emphasized that special attention is paid to the event of home cuisine and the national traditions of cooking. Despite the fact that the festival has no international status, it was presented with Turkish and Italian cuisine.
Muzhyr added that the festival in Kirkuk attracted attention and interest that surpassed all expectations, and reported plans to hold the next festival at the international level. He also noted that a significant number of participants came to an event from other cities of Iraq.
