At headquarters of UN in Geneva, week of Turkic world was held

At the UN headquarters in Geneva on April 22-25, the Week of the Turkic world dedicated to the cultural unity of the Turkic peoples was held.

The event was organized by the organization of Turkic states (OTG) with the participation of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (Turks), the Turkic Culture and Heritage Fund, the International Turkic Academy and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States,.

The program laid the foundation for a series of events that will be organized in various countries in order to cover the heritage of Turkic history and traditions. About this in an interview with the correspondent of the Anadola agency said the Secretary General of the Organization of the Turkic States (OTG) Kubanychbek Omuraliev.

He noted that the heads of state of the OTG in the 10th Summit of the Organization in Astana in November 2023 made the idea of ​​the week of the Turkic world.

Omuraliev said that as part of the week of the Turkic world, photo exhibitions, conferences and gala concert were organized.

“Turkic states unites the common goal. The task of the Turkic world week is in Geneva, the Center for Diplomacy, to present to the whole world structures engaged in cooperation and interaction in the Turkic world. We plan to organize the weeks of the Turkic world in various countries,” he said.

He noted that representatives of many countries and international organizations took part in the events organized as part of the program.

Omuraliev emphasized that the Turkic states adhere to the motto “Together we are stronger.” According to him, the spirit of cooperation between them is reflected in the Nakhchivansky agreement, which was signed in 2009 and is the constituent agreement of the show.
