At Investment Forum In Tashkent, Qatar And Tajikistan Agreed 17 Projects

The Republic of Tajikistan and the state of Qatar reached an agreement on the launch of 14 investment projects and three charitable programs. This was announced by the information site “Avesta”.

The relevant agreement was discussed during the negotiations of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavkizoda Zavka Amin with the State Minister of Catarus Ahmad Bin Muhammad al-Said, held under the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum.

It is reported that the projects cover key spheres from health and processing mineral raw materials to green energy, logistics and tourism.

In the humanitarian block, the parties identified initiatives for the construction of an infectious diseases hospital and ambulance institutions in Tajikistan.

The Tajik minister noted that the high level of bilateral interaction became possible thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two states.

In addition, he emphasized the need to activate practical cooperation as part of the previously signed memorandum on humanitarian interaction.

During the meeting, mutual interest was emphasized in the deepening of economic ties, especially in such priority areas as investments in the processing industry, the development of renewable energy sources, as well as the creation of joint logistics routes.

Upon the end of the meeting, the Tajik side invited the Qatarian minister to visit Dushanbe on an official visit.

The parties confirmed the readiness to move from discussion to the practical implementation of agreed projects.
