Temporary restrictions on the work of Russian airports, introduced on the night of May 6 to 7 due to a large-scale attack of drones on the regions of the Russian Federation, influenced at least 350 flights and on plans of at least 60 thousand passengers. This was reported in the Association of Tour operators of Russia (ATOR).

“On the eve of May 6, Moscow airports suspended the reception and sending of airplanes due to the danger of the attack of the UAV. At first, the restrictions were introduced into Vnukovo, Zhukovsky and Domodedovo, later in Sheremetyevo. The restrictions acted at least 5:30 in Moscow. They also closed the Sochi airport in the evening, Kazan and Nizhnekamsk were closed at night. At least 350 flights affected the flights of at least 60 thousand passengers.

Atore noted that at the moment all airports, including those that have accepted aircraft as reserve, strive for stabilization of the schedule.

“But, for objective reasons, this process is difficult to failure, the late arrival of aircraft and the accumulation of a large number of passengers in the terminals,” the message says.

It is noted that Aeroflot, Russia, Victory, Nordwind, Nordstar and other airlines have already warned their customers about possible delays and malfunctions in the schedule.

On the night of May 7, a number of Russian regions were subjected to a large -scale attack of UAVs.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that it could not provide security guarantees to foreign guests who will visit the military parade on May 9

In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called Zelensky’s words about security guarantees for leaders going to visit Moscow on May 9.

“The statements that Zelensky have now made are not accidental. This is a classic threat of an international terrorist,” wrote a diplomat earlier in her Telegram channel.
