In the case of the attempt on the assistant to the President of Ukraine, Sergei Shefira appeared new details. The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Evgeny Yenin told about them, reports the TV channel “Ukraine 24”.
According to him, the criminal acted not alone. Now Ukrainian law enforcement officers have “an alleged portrait of a man who tried to make an attempt,” added Yenin. “We have an alleged portrait, his height, weight and other traces that we installed during operational investigative actions,” he said.
Yenin clarified that several thousand phone calls were studied, which were committed on a crime day or a few days before. Investigators also concluded that criminals used silencers.
Also, Yenin said that helping to investigate the case of the attempt on Sergey Shefira will be FBI employees.
According to him, Kiev agreed to accept the assistance of the United States in the investigation of the attempt, “to overcome the doubts of citizens and foreign colleagues in the objectivity of the investigation by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.”
September 22, Sergei Shefira was fired at Kiev from the Kalashnikov machine. He did not suffer, his driver was injured.
