Australia introduced sanctions against 14 strategic enterprises in Russia

Australia’s authorities announced sanctions against 14 Russian companies in connection with the war, unleashed by Russia against Ukraine. This is reported by the Foreign Ministry on Thursday, April 14th.

“The Government of Australia has introduced targeted financial sanctions against 14 Russian state-owned enterprises with strategic and economic importance to Russia,” the press release says.

The sanctions lists included KAMAZ, Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, Transneft, Rostelecom, RusHydro, Sevmash and United Shipbuilding Corporation, Holding Roselectronics, Russian Railways, Novorossiysk Sea Trade Port, Alrosa, Sokaz and Sovkomflot.

“Our focus on Russian state enterprises in coordination with key partners undermines their ability to stimulate the Russian economy,” the meade noted.
