Azay Guliyev became a special representative of OSCE PA on Southeast Europe

Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Azay Guliyev was appointed president of the structure of Margaret Sedrifelt by a special representative of the OSCE PA in Southeast Europe.

AzerTaj with reference to the official website of the OSCE PA informs that the Special Representative has a number of important powers, among which the monitoring of political and electoral processes in the countries of Southeastern Europe, as well as the main political and other events, including state construction, regional cooperation , development of foreign policy priorities defined by the countries of the region and others.

In addition, a special representative for the development of regional cooperation processes, including Western Balkan countries, should pay special attention to cooperation at the parliamentary level, contribute to the development of regional dialogue. This mandate also includes support for OSCE field operations and coordination between the OSCE and the OSCE PA.

Special Representative will also assist in the establishment of communications between the OSCE Institutions and the Committees of the Assembly in the field of migration and terrorism in Southeast Europe.
