Azerbaijan and Armenia are preparing for demarcation of border

Moscow, Baku and Yerevan agreed to move towards creating a bilateral commission for delimiting the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, followed by its demarcation, while the Russian Federation will assist them at the request of the parties. This is stated in a joint statement by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikola Pashinyan, following the results of those held in Sochi negotiations.

“There was agreed to take steps to increase the level of stability and security in the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and to deal with the creation of a bilateral commission on the delimitation of the state border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, with its subsequent demarcation during the consultative assistance of the Russian Federation at the request of the parties,” Specified in the document.
