Azerbaijan And Bahrain Discussed Cooperation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jaykhun Bayramov discussed with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Bahrain Salman Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifoy the prospects for cooperation. This is stated in the press service of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry.

“During the meeting, the parties held a comprehensive discussion of the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral relations,” the information says.

Bayramov noted that negotiations with the Prime Minister of Bahrain covered a wide range of issues, including key regional and global events that are mutual interest. “I am sure that the ongoing intensification of contacts at a high level and mutual visits will make a significant contribution to strengthening closer ties between our countries,” the minister wrote in social networks.

As part of an official visit to Bahrain, Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jaykhun Bayramov met with the chairman of the consultative council of the kingdom Bahrain Ali Bin Salekh al Salekh.

The parties discussed the prospects for the development of inter -parliamentary cooperation, as well as topical issues of regional and international security.

The importance of parliamentary diplomacy and expansion of exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries was noted to further strengthen bilateral relations based on friendship, mutual respect and understanding.

The parties expressed satisfaction with cooperation within the framework of such international structures as the UN, the organization of Islamic cooperation and the movement of non -alignment. Gratitude to Bahrain for the support of the parliamentary network of non -alignment movement and the successful holding of her second meeting in Manama.

Azerbaijani side informed about restoration work in the liberated territories, the fight against the mine threat, as well as the progress of negotiations on a peace agreement with Armenia. It is emphasized that negotiations have been completed on the text of a peace treaty, however, the preserved territorial claims in the Armenian legislation remain an obstacle to the regional world.

At the end of the meeting, an exchange of views on other issues representing mutual interest took place.
